Memorial Benches

In 2025, volunteers mapped the location of all memorial benches in Devil's Lake State Park. A photo and transcription of each memorial plaque is available for each bench (click on a thumbnail on the map below). Search for a specific bench by name or simply browse around the map. 

These benches were sponsored over several years as memorials to loved ones. As benches are retired due to aging or condition, the original sponsor or their family may purchase a replacement bench. No new benches are being added to Devil’s Lake at this time. In lieu of a memorial bench or replacement, please consider purchasing a paver in honor of your loved one.
